  • The Home Ministry has declared The Resistance Front (TRF), a front of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), as a terrorist organisation under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
  • The ministry has declared them as terrorist organizations.
  • The MHA also designated Sheikh Sajjad Gul, a commander of TRF, a terrorist under the fourth schedule of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967.
  • TRF, which came into existence in 2019 as a proxy outfit of Lashkar-e-Taiba, is recruiting youth by using online media to further terrorist activities.
  • TRF was behind a majority of attacks on civilians, including Kashmiri Pandits and migrant workers as well as security forces in Kashmir, for the past couple of years.
