  • The Union Cabinet approved three new metro rail projects, including Phase III of Bangalore Metro at ₹15,600 crore, Thane Integral Ring Metro at ₹12,200 crore, and Pune Metro extension at approximately ₹3,000 crore.
  • The Cabinet also approved new Civil Enclaves at Bihta in Bihar and Bagdogra in West Bengal, with estimated costs of ₹1,413 crore and ₹1,549 crore respectively, bringing the total value of infrastructure projects approved by the Modi government to around ₹2 lakh crore.
