The government appointed Atul Kumar Chaudhary as a secretary of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai).
Chaudhary, a 1989-batch Indian Telecommunication Services (ITS) officer, working as a deputy director general at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
He worked in various capacities in the personnel, human resource (HR), administration, licensing, vigilance divisions of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and DoT.
