  • The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) guarantees that half of the members in every Examining Committee and Revising Committee for film certification are women.
  • This complies with the Cinematograph (Certification) Rules, 2024, which require that one-third of the members on the Board and Advisory Panels must be women.
  • As per these rules, the tenure of Board members is determined under the Cinematograph Act, 1952, allowing members to serve up to three years or until new appointments are made.
