  • Recently the Rajasthan government has announced that it will conduct caste census in the state.
  • Rajasthan will become the second state in the country to conduct caste census.
  • Bihar is the first state in the country to conduct caste census.
  • Rajasthan Government has given the responsibility of this census to the Social Justice and Empowerment Department and the Planning Department.
  • Keeping in mind the backwardness of the state, special welfare schemes will be run on the basis of caste census survey which will work to improve the lives of all sections by providing social and economic upliftment and support.
