Renowned Carnatic vocalist & the Padma Bhushan awardee T.V. Sankaranarayanan passed away at the age of 77 in September 2022.
He won the Sangita Kalanidhi award of the Music Academy in 2003.
In 2003, the Central Govt also conferred on him Padma Bhushan.
He was considered the torch-bearer of the Madurai Mani Iyer style of singing and technique.
