Recently, Captain Fatima Wasim has been deployed as a woman medical officer for the first time on Siachen Glacier.

She is the captain of the Fire and Fury Corps.
The Fire and Fury Corps is officially called the 14th Corps.
Its headquarters is in Leh.
They are deployed on the borders of China and Pakistan.
They also protect the Siachen Glacier.
Earlier, on December 5, 2023, the Army said that Captain Geetika Kaul of Snow Leopard Brigade had become the first woman medical officer.
