  • The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), Girish Chandra Murmu, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toyam Raya, Auditor General of Nepal, aiming to enhance cooperation and collaboration between the two supreme auditing institutions.
  • The MoU focuses on exchanging expertise in auditing and developing professional capacity, establishing a platform for mutual assistance in conducting audits, and fostering knowledge sharing in the field of public sector audit between India and Nepal.
  • During his official visit to Nepal, Girish Chandra Murmu engaged in discussions with key dignitaries, including Nepal's Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Finance Minister Barsaman Pun, and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Rishikesh Pokharel, to further strengthen bilateral ties in public sector auditing.
