The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the revision of ethanol purchase prices for the Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2024-25, increasing the price of ethanol from ₹56.58 per liter to ₹57.97 per liter, aimed at reducing dependence on crude oil imports, saving foreign exchange, and benefiting the environment.
