The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given its approval for restructuring the Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme and extending its lending period from the earlier deadline of 31st December 2024 to 31st March 2030. The scheme, with a total financial outlay of ₹7,332 crore, now aims to support 1.15 crore beneficiaries, including an additional 50 lakh new street vendors.
