  • Former Chief Minister of West Bengal Buddhadeb Bhattacharya passed away at his home in Kolkata. He was 80 years old. 
  • Buddhadev Bhattacharya was the Chief Minister of West Bengal from 2000 to 2011. Along with this, he had also been a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
