Senior BJP leader Mohan Charan Majhi has been unanimously elected as the new chief minister of Odisha by the BJP legislature party, with support from 81 MLAs, including three independents.
Majhi, a four-time MLA from Keonjhar, has been a significant figure in Odisha politics for over two decades, known for his strong connection with the masses and his influence in shaping BJP policies in the region.
The swearing-in ceremony for Mohan Charan Majhi will take place at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other prominent leaders.
