Bhavina Patel, Assistant Director at Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ahmedabad, created history by winning gold at the ITTF World Para Elite Table Tennis Championship in Spokane, Washington, USA. Competing from 9–13 August 2025, Patel triumphed in the Women’s Singles Class 4–5 category, defeating top-ranked global opponents with her outstanding skill and strategy. Her victory marked a major milestone for India in para sports and brought pride to the nation.
