The West Bengal cabinet approved the appointment of at least one legal advisor in every subdivision to assist the police, strengthening legal support across the state.
The cabinet also sanctioned filling 1,500 vacancies, including 583 contractual junior engineers in the Public Health Engineering Department and 700 personnel in various municipalities.
