Bank of Baroda launched ‘bob SAMVAD’, an in-house AI-powered multilingual conversational platform, in Mumbai on March 28, 2026.
It was formally launched by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services.
The platform enables real-time, low-latency two-way communication in 22 Indian languages at bank branches.
It eliminates language barriers by instantly translating conversations between customers and staff.
In the first phase, it will be rolled out in 250 branches across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The initiative aims to make banking more inclusive and customer-friendly.
