Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal has announced his retirement from T20Is and his decision came shortly after his side defeated West Indies 3-0 in the three-match ODI series.
Having made his T20I debut in 2007, Tamim retires as Bangladesh’s third-highest run-getter in the format with 1701 runs in 74 matches at an average of 24.65 and strike rate of 117.47.
His 103* against Oman at the T20 World Cup in 2016 makes him Bangladesh’s only centurion in T20Is.
