B. Sairam Appointed CMD of Coal India Limited

The Ministry of Coal has appointed seasoned mining professional B. Sairam as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Coal India Limited, effective December 15, 2025. A mining engineer from NIT Raipur, Sairam brings over three decades of experience in coal operations, logistics, and project planning. He previously served as CMD of Northern Coalfields Limited. His appointment is significant for strengthening leadership at the world’s largest coal producer and supporting India’s energy security.
