  • Indian shooter Avani Lekhara has been honored with the honor of "Best Female Debut" at the 2021 Paralympic Awards for a record-setting gold medal in Tokyo
  • The 20-year-old Jaipur native won gold in the women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 event earlier this year after suffering a spinal cord injury in a car accident in 2012.
  • Shooter Avani Lekhara has also been awarded the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award this year.
