  • BrahMos Aerospace Limited, which manufactures the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, has appointed Atul Dinkar Rane as its new CEO and Managing Director.
  • He is the most outstanding scientist of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
  • Rane, who is in command of BrahMos Aerospace's Indo-Russian Joint Venture, has been involved with the project since its inception. The world-class BrahMos supersonic cruise missile system is manufactured by this JV organisation.
  • He worked on the programme as the Program Manager, Avionics & System Integration.
  • He was also involved in the creation, planning, testing, and certification of DRDO Onboard systems.
