Wang Yiping, a member of China's Shenzhou-13 mission, has become the country's first woman astronaut to walk in space.
Wang Yaping, 41, took part in the mission's first extravehicular activity with mission commander Zhai Zhigang.
In Chinese space history, this is the first time a woman astronaut has performed a spacewalk.
On October 16, China launched the Shenzhou-13 spacecraft, which carried three astronauts on a six-month trip to the under-construction space station, which was anticipated to be operational by next year.
