The Election Commission of India announced the dates of assembly elections in 5 states on 9 October.
These 5 states are – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram.
Elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh in only one phase on November 17.
Elections will be held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on 7th and 17th November.
Elections will be held in Rajasthan on 23 November.
Elections will be held in Telangana on 30 November and in Mizoram on 7 November.
There are 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh.
There are 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan.
There are 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh.
The number of assembly seats in Telangana is 119 and Mizoram is 40.
The Model Code of Conduct comes into force with the announcement of election dates by the Election Commission of India.
