The Assam Secretariat inaugurated a 2.5 MW solar power project, making it India's first green state government headquarters.
The project was installed at a cost of Rs 12.5 crore and is expected to save Rs 30 lakh in electricity bills monthly for the Assam Secretariat.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the initiative as a significant step towards achieving a Net-Zero Government, emphasizing Assam's commitment to environmental sustainability and renewable energy.
