  • In Assam, the famous Ambubachi Mela has begun today at the Kamakhya temple. This will conclude on the 26th of this month. 
  • Lakhs of devotees have gathered for the Ambubachi mela. The event celebrates the annual menstruation of the goddess Kamakhya, symbolising fertility and womanhood. 
  • During the festival, the gates of Kamakhya Temple will remain closed. The temple gates will reopen at 9:08 p.m. on the 25th of this month. 
  • The Kamrup Metro District administration has made elaborate arrangements for the devotees.
