The Government of India has decided to hand over the command of Punjab National Bank to Ashok Chandra.
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has approved his appointment.
With this, the way has been cleared for his appointment to the post of new MD and CEO of PNB.
Ashok Chandra is currently posted as Executive Director of Canara Bank. He will replace Atul Kumar Goel, who is scheduled to retire on December 31, 2024.
