  • Commonwealth Games gold medallist Eldhose Paul (Kerala) won the men's triple jump contest with a best effort of 16.27m.
  • The ‘Indian Grand Prix 2’ Athletics Championship was organized by the Athletics Federation of India in Thiruvananthapuram.
