  • Committee A, chaired by India, is responsible for discussing key programmatic topics including universal health coverage, public health emergency preparedness, antimicrobial resistance, climate change, and sustainable financing for WHO.
  • India's Commitment to Global Health: In his address to the Assembly, Apurva Chandra highlighted India's successful management of the COVID-19 pandemic and its commitment to the global supply of medicines and health-related products. 
  • He emphasized the importance of India's inclusive vision of "One World, One Family" in promoting global well-being, enabling universal health coverage, and achieving health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
