Anuradha Thakur Appointed to RBI Central Board, Replacing Ajay Seth:

The Government of India has appointed Ms. Anuradha Thakur, Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs under the Ministry of Finance, as a Director on the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). She takes over from Ajay Seth, who is now the Chairman of IRDAI. Her appointment is effective from July 24, 2025, and will remain in force until further notice.
