  • The Central Government announced the Padma Awards 2022 on the eve of Republic Day. A total of 4 names for Padma Vibhushan, while the names of 17 celebrities have been selected for Padma Bhushan. Apart from this, 107 names have been selected for the Padma Shri award.
  • Former BJP leader Kalyan Singh, Geeta Press Gorakhpur president Radheshyam Khemka, CDS General Bipin Rawat were posthumously awarded Padma Vibhushan and Prabha Atre's name is included.
  • Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, SII MD Cyrus Poonawalla will be honored with Padma Bhushan.
