  • Kenya's Anna Kabale Duba crowned 'world's best nurse'
  • Kenyan nurse Anna Kabale Duba has won the 'World's Best Nurse' award by a panel of judges to honor her for her dedication to helping vulnerable women and children in Africa.
  • Anna Kabale Duba has been given a cash prize of $250,000.
  • At least six women were shortlisted in this award ceremony, which took place in Dubai and seven countries namely; four men from India, United Arab Emirates, UK, Australia, Afghanistan, Kenya and the US were selected.
  • Duba, the only female graduate in her village, revealed that she, through her Qabale Duba Foundation, had built a school in Marsabit which offers classes to young pupils and adults looking to get a decent education during the day and evening respectively.
