The Department of Fisheries has declared Andhra Pradesh to be the best marine state in the country.
On 21 November 2021, on the occasion of 'World Fisheries Day,' the Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, awarded best performing States for 2021-22, to recognise their achievements in the field and contribution to the sector's growth.
The awards were presented in Bhubaneswar by Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy.
