  • The Department of Fisheries has declared Andhra Pradesh to be the best marine state in the country.
  • On 21 November 2021, on the occasion of 'World Fisheries Day,' the Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, awarded best performing States for 2021-22, to recognise their achievements in the field and contribution to the sector's growth.
  • The awards were presented in Bhubaneswar by Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy.
