Andaman and Nicobar became the first Union Territory, following Himachal Pradesh, to achieve the goal of 100% vaccination.
The vaccination campaign in these islands, like the rest of the country, began on January 16, this year.
Only the Covishield vaccine has been used to immunise the entire population of this island.
