In a major leap for India’s space-based internet services, Ananth Technologies has received approval from IN-SPACe to launch India’s first private satellite broadband service. The plan includes launching a 4-tonne geostationary satellite capable of providing 100 Gbps broadband coverage across India. With an initial investment of ₹3,000 crore, the project aims to compete globally with giants like Starlink and OneWeb and is expected to go live in 2028.
