The Central Government has appointed Amit Singh Negi, a 1999 batch IAS officer from Uttarakhand, as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO); He was earlier Joint Secretary in the Department of Expenditure, Union Finance Ministry.
Prior to this appointment, Negi served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Union Finance Ministry.
