  • The Central Government has appointed Amit Singh Negi, a 1999 batch IAS officer from Uttarakhand, as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO); He was earlier Joint Secretary in the Department of Expenditure, Union Finance Ministry.
  • Prior to this appointment, Negi served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Union Finance Ministry.
