  • Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs, launched the Dairy Sahakar scheme in Gujarat's Anand, with the overall goal of doubling farmers' income and creating Atmanirbhar Bharat.
  • The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) will provide financial assistance to eligible cooperatives under the 'Dairy Sahakar' scheme for activities such as bovine development, milk procurement, processing, quality assurance, value addition, branding, packaging, marketing, transportation and storage of milk and milk products, and exports of dairy products, all in the name of "Doubling the farmers' income" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat."
  • The scheme was unveiled at a function hosted by Amul to commemorate the company's 75th anniversary.
