  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the revamped Multi Agency Centre (MAC), a common counter-terrorism grid under Intelligence Bureau (IB) that was conceptualised in 2001 post the Kargil war. 
  • The new MAC network connects all police districts in the country through a secured network and has been built at a cost of Rs. 500 crore.
