Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad. Built at a cost of ₹825 crore, it is India’s largest and most advanced sports facility, featuring Olympic-standard arenas, an aquatic complex, athlete hostels and eco-friendly infrastructure. Shah said the complex will help make Ahmedabad Asia’s sports capital and strengthen India’s bid to host the 2036 Olympics.
