Renowned author Amish Tripathi has launched his latest historical novel, The Chola Tigers: The Avengers of Somnath, at Crossword Kemps Corner in Chennai. The book, the second in his Indic Chronicles series, celebrates the bravery and sacrifice of the Chola Empire, including unique details like the presence of a women’s regiment in their army. Set in 1025 CE, the story follows Emperor Rajendra Chola’s bold response to Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni’s attack on the Somnath temple, weaving history and fiction into a gripping tale of courage, unity, and dharma.
