Alka Upadhyaya, a bureaucrat, has been named Chairperson of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Upadhyaya is a Madhya Pradesh-based IAS officer from the 1990 batch.
Updhayaya is currently an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development and the Department of Rural Development.
In addition, Sanjay Bandopadhyay has been appointed Chairman of the Inland Waterways Authority of India.
