Economic Affairs Secretary Ajay Seth was assigned the additional charge of the Department of Revenue with immediate effect on 10 December 2024.
Seth has been given dual responsibility after outgoing Revenue Secretary Sanjay Malhotra was appointed as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Malhotra took over as the 26th Governor of RBI on 10 December 2024.
