  • AICTE has introduced six-month hybrid programs to train core engineering faculty in emerging areas like AI, data science, robotics, IoT, and more, offered free of cost in collaboration with IIT. Applications are open to faculty with at least five years of experience until June 6.
  • Due to rising demand, Tamil Nadu engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University are adding 25,000 seats this academic year for courses in artificial intelligence and data science, the second most sought-after courses in the region.
  • Private institutions in Tamil Nadu are conducting numerous certification courses in AI and data science. Engineering colleges are requesting Anna University to recognize certified core engineering faculty as AI faculty and are employing various strategies, including hiring industry experts, to teach these emerging areas.
