Recently, the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare released the data of food grain production in the country.
According to these figures, food grain production in the country is expected to reach a record level of 3297 lakh tonnes.
This is 141 lakh tonnes more than the food grain production of the year 2022-23.
Rice production this year is expected to be around 1350 lakh tonnes.
Wheat production will be around 1100 lakh tonnes.
The total production of pulses is estimated to be around 260 lakh tonnes.
The production of coarse grains will be 573 lakh tonnes.
The production of maize will be around 380 lakh tonnes, gram 122 lakh tonnes and groundnut 102 lakh tonnes.
