  • Recently Punjab Government has announced that it will launch 'Aata Dal Scheme'.
  • This scheme will be launched on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
  • Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev will be celebrated on 27th November.
  • Under this scheme, free delivery of wheat and flour to homes will be done by the Punjab government.
  • Under the Flour-Pulse Scheme, the government will distribute 72500 metric tons of ration per month.
  • Food and Civil Supplies Department is the nodal department for this scheme.
