  • Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajiv Chandrashekhar has announced seven new Internet Exchange Nodes in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
  • These nodes will be located at Meerut, Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.
  • In Uttar Pradesh, there was only one Internet exchange node, which was located in Gautam Buddh Nagar.
  • The new internet exchange nodes will be physically launched by Rajeev Chandrashekhar from Agra.
  • These exchange points will serve all UP zones. These exchanges contribute to faster Internet speeds for consumers, as well as improved resilience, stability, efficiency, and service quality at a lower cost.
