The 16th India-Singapore Defence Working Group (DWG) meeting was held in Singapore. It was co-chaired by Shri Amitabh Prasad from India’s Ministry of Defence and Col Daxson Yap from Singapore’s Ministry of Defence. In 2025, India and Singapore mark 60 years of diplomatic ties. Both sides welcomed the growing defence partnership and agreed to expand cooperation in emerging domains and global commons. The talks also underlined Singapore’s key role in India’s Act East Policy, with focus on connectivity, security, and maritime cooperation.
