A 150-million-year-old 'Baminornis zhenghensis' fossil discovered in China sheds new light on the origin of birds.
The fossil was found to contain pygostyle bone, which is a distinctive feature of modern birds, and shows that the anatomical structure of modern birds evolved at the end of the Jurassic period.
