A Financial Times report reveals that Nvidia’s high-performance AI chips, including the restricted B200 models, worth around $1 billion, were smuggled into China over a three-month period following U.S. sanctions. These chips, part of the export controls aimed at curbing China’s access to advanced semiconductors, were reportedly sold through black market channels. The U.S. government partially lifted restrictions on some models like the H20 in July.
