Summary

The Joint Entrance Exam known as JEE is conducted into two parts i.e JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Through this national level entrance exam, applicants are provided admission into UG engineering programs in various IITs, NITs, CFTIs, and other institutions. For admission into B.E/B.Tech courses, candidates have to appear for JEE Main Paper–I. While for admission into B. Arch & B. Planning courses, students are required to qualify JEE Main Paper–II & III. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA) Exam Pattern, the JEE Main is an Online Computer based exam that will be conducted for a total of 300 marks with a total time of 180 minutes. There shall be 4 marks for correct answers and 1 mark negative marking for wrong answers. The syllabus of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) contains Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B, enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. To fill the application form for JEE Main, the candidates have to pay a requisite application fee which has been set up by the exam conducting authority.
