Agniveer Vayu examination is held by the Indian Airforce for unmarried male candidates under the Agnipath Scheme. This exam is a good opportunity for those who wish to secure a job under the Defence category.
The age requirement to fill this form is 17.5 to 21 years. The selection process of the Indian Airforce Agniveer Vayu is in three phases i.e Phase I, Phase II and PhaseIII. The Examination pattern is different based on the qualification of the students. For the Science Subjects Students Phase I follows up with a computer-based test (C.B.T.) which includes English, Physics, and Mathematics.
The total marks of the Phase 1 computer based test for science subjects students is 70 and the total time duration to complete the examination will be 60 minutes. For the Other than Science Subjects Students Phase I follows up with a computer-based test (C.B.T.) which includes English and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
The total marks of the Phase 1 computer based test for other than science subjects students is 50 and the total time duration to complete the examination will be 45 minutes.
For the Students eligible for both Science and other subjects Students Phase I follows up with a computer-based test (C.B.T.) which includes English, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA), Physics, and Mathematics. The total marks of the Phase 1 computer based test for Science and other subjects Students is 100 and the total time duration to complete the examination will be 85 minutes. After qualifying for the Phase I exam candidates need to appear for the Phase II exam. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type. The standard of the question paper will be that of the 12th level. Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (P.F.T) is mandatory for selection.
Candidates shortlisted from the Phase II will be called for the physical fitness test (P.F.T.).
Adaptability Test-II. All candidates who pass Physical Fitness Test will have to undertake Adaptability Test-II as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test-II is for selection of candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.
Phase - III
Medical Examination. Candidates who qualify Adaptability Test-II shall be issued with medical appointment letter at respective ASCs. Medical examination shall be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards and policy in vogue on subject issue.

To be eligible for the Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2027, you must meet specific requirements regarding your age, education, and physical health. Here is the detailed breakdown:
Age and Marital Status:
You must be born between January 1, 2006, and July 1, 2009 (inclusive of both dates). In terms of service rules, your age must not exceed 21 years on the date of your enrollment. Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible. Additionally, you are required to remain unmarried throughout the four-year service tenure.
Educational Qualifications:
The qualifications are divided into two primary categories depending on the stream you choose:
For Science Subjects:
You must have passed the Intermediate/10+2 examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English. You need a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and at least 50% marks in English specifically.
Alternatively, you can have a 3-year Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation, or IT) with 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English in the diploma.
Another option is a 2-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects like Physics and Mathematics, maintaining 50% aggregate and 50% in English.
For Other Than Science Subjects:
You must have passed Intermediate/10+2 in any stream or subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
A 2-year Vocational Course is also acceptable if you have 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Physical and Medical Standards:
Candidates must be physically fit to meet the demands of the Air Force. The basic standards include:
Height: A minimum of 152.5 cm for males and 152 cm for females. Candidates from the North East or hilly regions like Uttarakhand may have a relaxed minimum of 147 cm.
Chest: For males, the minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm with a required expansion of at least 5 cm. For females, the chest wall should be well-proportioned with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
Weight: Your weight must be proportionate to your height and age.
Hearing and Dental: You must be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear. For dental health, a minimum of 14 dental points is required.
Visual Standards: General vision should be 6/12, correctable to 6/6 in each eye. Note that LASIK or PRK surgery is not permitted.
