The Staff Selection Commission is an authorized organization working under the Government of India. The SSC does all the required procedures for recruitment of candidates for various posts in Departments & Ministries in Government of India. The SSC releases notifications every year for recruitment for various posts. Candidates are selected, based upon their performance in the exams, conducted by SSC.
The Staff Selection Commission holds examination for Recruitment of Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF, the details of which are as under;
Sub Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police : The post carries pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and is classified as Group 'C' by Delhi Police.
Sub-Inspector in CAPFs : (Central Armed Police Forces) The post carries pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200 and is classified as Group 'B' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF : The post carries pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- and is classified as Group 'C'.
The Exam is conducted online from 2016.
Selection Procedure : The selection of the candidates is based on their performance in the following three phases of examinations;
I. Written Exam (Paper-I)
II. Physical Efficiency Test (Qualifying Nature)
III. Written Exam (Paper-II)
These selection rounds are organized by recruitment board of Delhi Police Department.

Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT) to be eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police.

→ General Intelligence & Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. The topics are, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/ pattern- folding & un-folding, Figural Pattern- folding and completion, Indexing, Address matching, Date & city matching, Classification of centre codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/ numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence, Other sub-topics, if any.
→ General Knowledge and General Awareness: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates‟ general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.
→ Quantitative Aptitude: The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Alligation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra & Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.
→ English Comprehension: Candidates ability to understand correct English, his/ her basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested.
Syllabus (Paper-II):
→ English Language and Comprehension: Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension etc.
Mode of Selection:
Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:
• UR : 30%
• OBC/ EWS : 25%
• All Others Categories: 20%
* On the basis of their performance in Paper-I + Paper-II, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Medical Examination. Candidates, who are successful in Medical Examination, will be called for detailed Document Verification.*
* All shortlisted candidates are required to come for Document Verification. Those failing to do so will not be considered for final selection. Candidates are required to submit all documents in original for verification at the time of Document Verification.*
Resolution of Tie Cases:
In cases where more than one candidate secures the equal aggregates marks, in Paper-I + Paper-II, the tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:
• Total marks in Paper-II.
• Date of birth, with older candidates, placed higher.
• Alphabetical order of the names of the candidates.
Application Fee - SSC CPO SI 2024:
Fee is payable: Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.
Mode of Payment:
Pay the Examination Fee Through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking.
Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.

How to Apply for SSC CPO SI 2024
The applications must be submitted through online mode only. For detailed instructions on filling an online application form.
The process of filling online application for the examination consists of two parts:
I. One Time Registration
II. Filling of online Application for the Examination
Part-I (One-Time Registration)
1. Please read the instructions given in the Notice of Examination carefully before filling up the online 'Registration Form' and Application Form.
2. Before proceeding with One-Time Registration, keep the following information/ documents ready: a. Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
b. Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
c. Aadhaar Number. If the Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following ID Numbers. (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage):
i. Voter ID Card
ii. PAN
iii. Passport
iv. Driving License
v. School/ College ID
vi. Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
d. Information about the Board, Roll Number, and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
e. Scanned color passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Applications with a blurred photograph will be rejected.
f. Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). Applications with blurred signatures will be rejected.
g. Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with a benchmark disability.
Part-II (Online Application Form)
1. Login to the online system through your Registration Number and password.
2. Click the Apply link in the ‘SSC CPO SI 2024’ section under the Latest Notifications tab.
