  • The Badminton World Federation announced on 30 April 2024 that Guwahati has been declared the host city of the BWF World Junior Championships in 2025.
  • The Junior Worlds typically have one team event first, followed by individual events in five categories, and the BWF said both will be held at the Badminton Association of India's (BAI) National Centre of Excellence in the northeastern region of India. 
  • The hosting rights were confirmed at the BWF Council meeting on April 28.
  • By organizing this badminton event, India has hosted the BWF event since 2008, which shows the increasing prominence in the country's badminton sector.
  • BWF President Poul-Erik Hoyer lauded India's badminton capabilities and facilities.
  • The BWF announced that the next edition of the BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals will be held in Denmark in 2026.
